Candle care
Four habits for a cleaner, longer glow
A well-tended candle burns evenly and lasts longer. These steps matter most in the first hour.

Let the first burn reach the edge
Keep it lit until the melt pool touches the glass, roughly one hour per inch of width. This prevents tunnelling for the life of the candle.

Trim the wick to 5 mm
Trim before every light. A short wick gives a calm flame and keeps the glass free of soot.

Burn for up to four hours
Then extinguish, let the wax set, and trim again before relighting.

Wax sachets need no flame
Hang them in a wardrobe, drawer, car or bathroom. Never light a sachet.
